How do I earn a credit? Two units = 1 credit. In addition to completing the unit, you will also complete 3 projects. 1 project will always be a vocabulary project (as explained below) and 1 project will always be a practice Regents, focusing on Regents questions from the units studied and skills used to break down the problems on the Regents.
What's the deal with all this vocabulary? Vocabulary is extremely important (especially for the Regents). For each credit, one of your projects will involve vocabulay as well.
Can I SKIP topics? Each unit is made up of a set of topics. Since this is a Regents Prep course, the assumption is that you will have already seen some of the topics in the course and you're already really good at them. You will NOT have to learn these things again. In order to earn the credit, you are expected to show that you have mastered all of the content and skills in both units. There will be a "test out" assessment at the beginning of the unit. The things that you do really well on, you will test out of and you will not have to complete the assignments for these topics. You will, however, still be responsible for the vocabulary and flashcards from those topics.
